Competitive Environment
Multinationals, many with household names, such as Coca-Cola, IBM, McDonald's, General Motors provide graduates or middle management with attractive job opportunities. And increasingly, well known domestic companies are on the hunt for the same talent. For those in the software outsourcing industry, this means that it can be harder to recruit. The industry is new and relatively immature, there is little understanding as to the career potential and job opportunities, and the company brand name has little value or caché.
This fight for talent has created a number of problems; employees are being actively poached by competitors, loyalty needs to be developed, salaries and benefits are soaring and additional perks such as free housing and meals, a mobile phone, bonuses, etc. are becoming more standard.
