Reduce Labor Costs by 60-80%

Logistics operations in the US and around the World struggle to find capable, dependable staff to work the multiple shifts that modern Ecommerce operations demand.  Depending on the nature of your warehousing operation you can expect to need 60-80% fewer employees to do the same work.

Speed Up Your Picking Operations

Since your employees no longer need to walk or ride around your warehouse to get each SKU, they can do more picks and fill more orders every hour.  Expect to see picking performance increase between 3X to 10X what you currently experience.  This means you could start fulfilling and shipping orders within hours of receiving them from clients.

Reduce Insurance Costs

In a typical warehouse environment, pickers with RF terminals will walk on average 12-15 miles per day.  That get reduced to nearly 0 with Bleum’s robotic system.  The inventory comes to them rather than them walking to the inventory.  This will result in reduced worker compensation claims from injuries due to so much physical activity.  Also, in a Bleum Robotics environment you do not store inventory high, so the risk of inventory falling and hurting your employees is greatly reduced.

Reduced Utility Costs

In a Bleum Robotic installation, people do not enter into the robotic storage area.  90% of your warehouse will no longer need lighting, or heating/air conditioning.  Also, compared to warehouses that use extensive conveyor systems a Bleum Robotics installation uses far less electricity.

Improved Inventory Accuracy

Bleum’s Robotic system improves the accuracy of your inventory and reduces cost in two ways.  First, our robots will never steal any of your inventory items.  “Leakage” can be a big source of loss for many warehouses, especially ones will valuable SKU’s.  Also, do to less leakage combined with a simpler user interaction, there are fewer errors made in counting and putting SKU’s into stock.  This results in far fewer reconciliation adjustments when performing periodic inventory audits.

Better Utilization of Floor Space

Since humans do not need to venture into the storage area, large wide aisles between storage racks are no longer necessary.  Only narrow aisles wide enough for a shelf to move through is needed.  Bleum’s robots navigate so accurately that there only needs to be an inch of clearance on either side for a robot and shelf to adeptly move through.  The result is that most warehouses can stock up to 50% more inventory into the same floor space.  This enables you to grow your operations without needing more real estate.

More Flexible Operations

It is very easy to scale up and scale down warehouse operations with Bleum’s Robotic system.  Increasing capacity or throughput of a distribution center is as easy as getting more robots.  There is no recruiting lead time, and then after wards if demand relaxes it is easy slow the robots down.
