Project Management

Bleum understands that good Project Management is vital to providing high quality services. Excellent project management is even more important when working in global teams. Therefore, Bleum requires all of our project managers to be PMI certified. The principles and metrics of PMI are tightly interwoven into Bleum's processes including our quality management system Hydra.

Bleum's Project Management Process includes the following strengths:

• Excellent English
  Communication Skills - All our project managers have strong verbal and written English. Our English Only policy ensures a high English proficiency level at every grade of employee.
• Accurate Estimation
  For all projects, we complete two estimates using two different methodologies. Depending on the project, Bleum will use two of the following methods: Work Breakdown Structure, Function Point, Component Sizing, Historical Analysis, or Wide Band Delphi. The results are then compared and a conclusion is drawn. Over the last year, this has allowed Bleum to achieve a schedule variance of 3% across all projects.
• Objective Driven Project Planning & Tracking
  Once a detailed WBS (work breakdown structure) is established, Bleum makes significant use of the Earned Value metric for tracking project status and performance. Other tools include Hydra [link], weekly status reports and conference calls. At Bleum we have a continuous focus on meeting quality, cost and schedule objectives.
• Excellent Requirements Analysis and Management
  Bleum's process is largely based on RUP (Rational Unified Process) and as such, relies on use cases to drive user requirements. Our systematic approach ensures that all requirements are addressed properly throughout the lifecycle and enables accurate reporting of progress implementing them.
• No Surprises Change Management
  Bleum is adamant about communicating changes upfront so that there are no negative surprises at the end of the project. All levels of the development team are trained on our change request process to ensure that only authorized client change requests are implemented into the plan.
• Data Rich Supporting Systems
  Hydra integrates all key development processes and tools with a client communications system. By accessing client dashboards from within their Web browser, a Bleum client can closely follow the status of their project on a daily basis.
