Shanghai, China, March 17, 2010—After years of American technology firms hiring Asian nationals to work in the United States, a China-based IT services firm is reversing the tide by recruiting U.S. computer engineers to work in Shanghai.
Bleum Inc., a Shanghai-based IT outsourcer that works exclusively with U.S. and European companies, is aiming to hire 20 new U.S. college graduates by July. The company is recruiting on college campuses in Atlanta, Chicago and Denver.
"Recruiting and training U.S. college grads to serve as onsite project coordinators is part of our ongoing efforts to make working with Bleum as seamless as possible for our American and European clients," says Eric Rongley, Bleum CEO and founder. Bleum's U.S. hires will join the company's dedicated client development teams. They will spend a year learning Bleum's best-in-class application development processes and company culture while also studying Mandarin. They then will be placed as project managers at U.S. client locations.
