IT Outsourcer Bleum Inc. Named "Cool Vendor" By Leading Analyst Firm

Shanghai, China, April 22, 2010—Bleum Inc., a China-based IT outsourcer to U.S. and European companies in technology, financial services, telecommunications, manufacturing and retail, is one of just four companies named "Cool Vendors in Application Services, 2010"1by Gartner, Inc.

"The recession and nascent recovery has increased the interest in, and demand for, cost-effectiveness on the one hand and innovation-driven growth on the other," writes Susan Tan, research director for Gartner's IT Services and Sourcing team. "Application services is a mostly mature market, but our selection of 'cool vendors' shows that smaller, innovative companies are still out there."

Unlike software outsourcers that offer only cost savings, Bleum drives innovation and improved business performance for clients by designing, building, running and testing core applications, such as online payment systems and eCommerce web sites. For a major U.S. hedge fund, for example, Bleum developed and operates a trading application that sliced trading speed from 40 microseconds to 10 microseconds. Bleum also specializes in helping clients develop new software products that they sell to their customers.

"Bleum has a strong track record of providing exceptional business value to our clients," says Eric Rongley, Bleum's founder and chief executive. "Our approach is to create dedicated development centers with dedicated teams that become integral extensions of our clients’ IT teams."

Bleum's distinctive operating model maximizes productivity and quality as well as ease of doing business for clients. Led by senior executives from top global technology and consulting firms, including Accenture, HP, IBM and Microsoft, Bleum follows industry best practices and is unique among Chinese outsourcers with an English-only policy. Its proprietary tools for software development and project management are state-of-the-art as is its recruiting process, which secures top talent in China, the world's largest IT talent pool.
