Bleum Highlighted in The Wall Street Journal Article on the Emerging China-based IT Outsourcing Industry
Bleum CEO Quoted On Issues Related to Protecting Intellectual Property and Data

Bleum Inc. announced today that it has been included in a The Wall Street Journal article published in today's paper that discusses the emerging industry for China-based companies providing IT Outsourcing services to U.S. companies. The article reports China as the second most attractive country after India for IT outsourcing to U.S. companies. The story also highlights challenges unique to China and the steps specific companies, including Bleum, are taking to overcome these challenges.

"We are pleased to see a publication of the prestige and readership size of The Wall Street Journal reporting on the developing industry in China for providing IT outsourcing services to U.S. companies," said Bleum CEO, Eric Rongley. "The article and its timing is a strong indication that China is rapidly developing into one of the world's most important providers of outsourcing services. The story correctly identified intellectual property protection and English language as two of the most important issues that need to be addressed. Bleum is uniquely positioned in China to solve these two issues and we were honored to have the opportunity to share our views in this article."

The article reports on a recent study by A.T. Kearney, a Chicago management-consulting firm, that ranks China second, after India, in its 2004 global offshore-location attractiveness index. A.T. Kearney identifies China's large, educated labor pool and cost advantage as two of offshore outsourcing most important attributes. The story also identifies poor English skills, weak protection of intellectual property rights and a shortage of managerial talent as critical challenges facing CHINESE companies. Bleum has taken numerous steps to eliminate or minimize all of these issues.
