Bleum Shanghai Guide App Free at iTunes.com
Shanghai, China May 7, 2010 - Need a five-star hotel in Shanghai or to give directions to a taxi driver who only speaks Mandarin? Bleum's new Shanghai Guide mobile application for iPhone makes it easy for both business executives and tourists to navigate China's largest city.
Bleum Inc., a Shanghai-based IT outsourcer that specializes in applications development, including mobile apps, released this indispensable city guide in advance of World Expo. The 2010 world's fair with business and cultural exhibitions from 192 nations opens in Shanghai on May 1 and is expected to draw more than 70 million visitors.
Bleum's Shanghai Guide is
available for free at:

Much more than a simple listing, the Bleum Shanghai Guide:
- Is organized into nine major categories, including entertainment, healthcare and shopping
- Includes subcategories, such as Restaurants, which can be sorted by Japanese, Italian, and other types
- Provides important destination information, including addresses, contact numbers and pricing
- Uses a five-star rating system for restaurants, stores, hotels and other destinations
- Allows users to access destination web sites quickly and efficiently
- Enables users to customize preferences by creating a "my favorites" file
To make it easier to get around and get what you want, Bleum's app includes a pocket Chinese-English dictionary that can translate common phrases, questions and destinations from English into Mandarin. Users can communicate by showing their iPhone screen to waitresses, cabdrivers and other Shanghai residents who don't speak or read English.
"As a company that works exclusively with U.S and European clients and whose Shanghai-based senior management includes American, British, and Indian transplants, we have built into this application our extensive first-hand experience about what visiting executives need to make the most of Shanghai," says Eric Rongley, Bleum's chief executive and founder. "We've packed a lot of practical information and insight into a very intuitive app."
