Security Management
Bleum understands that IP (Intellectual Property) protection is a key concern of clients when considering China as an outsourcing destination. Bleum has puts a lot of focus on developing a world-class outsourcing security program and undergoing a rigorous certification process to ensure that its company provides best-in-class security protection to its clients. In addition, as a pure services provider, we remove any potential conflict of interest with our customers' business as we do not sell or distribute any products.
Bleum was accredited ISO 27001 in August 2006 by BSI (British Standards Institute) and recertified on July 2010. ISO 27001 is the current best in class standard for ISMS (Information Security Management System). As different businesses have different security needs, Bleum allows clients to pick and choose security options that are right for their business.
Bleum's program addresses outsourcing security on three different levels:
- CCTV cameras cover every entrance and every room
- Individual card and PIN access for all employees
- Biometric security on server rooms
- Hardware/Software installation is strictly monitored
- Personal PCs and storage devices forbidden
- OWASP App Framework
- Adherence to TRIPs; there is a TRIPs court in Shanghai
- TRIPs (Trade agreement China has signed on IP protection)
- All staff subject to security background checks
- Employees contractually commit to IP protection
- Individuals, upon customer request, sign NDAs
- Security protection major component of Employee Handbook
- No conflict of interest. Bleum does not develop or sell products
- Continuous training on security and IP protection; all Bleum employees are tested on security topics (once a month)
- We actively encourage that IP protection is practiced and implemented as part of our culture
