Pete Gibson
CTO/CIO
Pete possesses a broad and innovative technology and business background in both government and industry sectors. With over 25 years of diversified information technology management experience, his strength is leading and improving large technology organizations to increase value and create strategic technology solutions. Through out his executive career he has lead Fortune 400 technology organizations.
Pete spent the first 14 years of his career with the US Department of Defense directing large research and development organizations and technology operations. He spearheaded many cutting edge technology programs for the US government, including systems for the Unmanned Aerial Vehicles program. Under his leadership, these organizations doubled their income to $67 million in a two-year period. After his DOD career, Pete joined IBM where he consolidated and improved their worldwide e-commerce operations to gain a competitive advantage, and was responsible for the IT operations of a four billion-dollar revenue stream. After IBM, Pete turned around the IT organization at Alamo Rent-A-Car's local market division. Additionally, he aligned IT as a strategic business asset while maintaining IT cost's at 1% of revenue.
In October 2005, Pete joined Cendant (now Wyndham Worldwide) where he served as Chief Technology Officer. During his tenure there, he transformed an underperforming information technology team, into a business asset with 10K line item responsibility. In this position, he revamped the 500 person organization to support global operations, created systems that improved revenue by 9%, developed sellable services to improve company revenue, and implemented an innovative architecture to give the organization a competitive advantage.
In September 2010, he accepted a position as CIO at BridgeStreet Worldwide. In the position, he quickly transformed IT into strategic asset, by focusing on projects that improved EBITDA and customer value. He developed a global IT team, revamped the infrastructure to cutting edge technology, identified $9 million in EBITDA improvement through supply chain efficiency, and increased BridgeStreet value to customers by creating a transparent metric based business that is an industry first.
In Aug 2011, Pete was recruited to join Bleum as CTO/CIO.
